①Airil方式の再確認
ワークを出していただく際に、
今回最も皆さんが苦手だ
と言っていたもの。
そう、それは
前置詞ですね。
昨日のワークでは
前置詞に関する
英語での説明を翻訳して
頂きました。
翻訳する能力と同時に、
前置詞に関する知識に
何かピンとくるようなもの
があったら私は嬉しいです。
それでは
前置詞に関する説明を
させて頂く前に、
再度"Airil方式”の
英語学習の仕方について
説明させてください。
これから
”あるお題”に対して
みなさんがクリアになって
頂くために説明をしていきますが、
説明の間にも、
英文が存在します。
つまり、
English
↓
日本語
↓
English
のような文面に
なります。
ここで注意して頂きたいのは、
”日本語”は”English”の訳ではないこと。
Part１の様に
上から下へと
淡々と読んでください。
"English"と”日本語”
を理解したうえで
意味のなす文面になっています。
これは、
・英語に慣れていくため
・英語脳に近づけるため
です。

②Prepositionをクリアにしましょう
まず、前置詞は
日本人だけでなく
英語を勉強する全世界の
人々が困難に思うテーマです。
The foreign English teacher said ,
"If you're feeling flustrated with preposition ,
you're definitely not alone .
It's a little tricky , right ? "
だから、
頑張って乗り越えましょう(笑)
大丈夫です。乗り越えてきた人は
沢山いるので！
Prepositions are well ,
they're just annoying buggers !!
They're such tiny words ,
yet they influence your sentence significantly !
だからこそ、
乗り越える必要が
あるんですよね…
Also the foreign English teacher said ,
"One problem that my students have
with prepositions from their own native language
is that they don't translate perfectly into English
so they end up using the wrong preposition
and it becomes a bit of a habit , right ?"
この悪循環は
全世界に共通します。
ちなみに彼女の学生は
フィリピン人です。
Which is why it's really important
to study and practice prepositions
in context , so using books , blog posts
and other texts .
They're really great places to really try
and understand English prepositions and
see them , how they're used naturally .
今回は
at,in,on,を重点的に
説明していきたいと思います。
Basically you just need to know yet
some phrases with prepositions and
some rules here ,
we're going to talk about them at the end of
calm preposition to some patterns .
at

at work
at school
at the airport
at university
at 5 o'clock...
at night
at noon
at midnight
at midday
at the weekend (British) ➤but on the weekend in American English
at the station
at the top
at the bottom
at the end of the something (ex. book )
at the beginning of something (ex. book ) ➤if it's without of so we don't have of
we say in the beginning and in the end
so you need to remember it .
at the party
at the moment
at easter
at New Year
at Christmas ➤there is one very important rule
if you add day after these how this use on
so with a on Christmas Day because you see day but
at Christmas only Year's Day but at new year
so at Easter but on Easter day because of this day is
a rule it's English grammar and you need to remember it .

in 1978 ...

in the (spring) ➤in (spring) is also correct
in the 1980s
in a minute/second...
in an hour/two hours...

on New Year's Day ➤you see with on because of the day on Christmas Day on
New Year's Day .
But if don't have day so you need to say at .
on May 11th ➤don't forget to use -th .

on foot ➤on foot which means that you walk to work
so with you legs

本来であれば
日本語では説明したくは
ありませんが、
先程英語でprepositionを
大まかにインプットして
頂けたことと思いますので、
ここは日本語で解説して
少し安心感を出してあげようと
思います。
① She is the most famous actress (in ) Japan.
② I will not meet you (in ) the station. I will meet you (at ) the station gate.
前置詞は主に主語（S)に着眼するんでしたよね！
なのでformerは私と駅という一つの空間の関係性でin
latter は私と改札口と定められた場所なのでatです。
※これを意識して再度例文表を見返してみてください。
③ The book you are looking for is (on ) the shelf.
④ This ceremony will be etched ( in) my heart.
セレモニー（S）が私の心という空間にあるという関係性なのでin
⑤ I left my wallet (in ) my friend’s house.
私の財布（S)が友人の家という空間にあるという関係性なのでin
